Hi..

1. I have Opera 7.51 blocking popups but I haven't found a whitelist of sorts where I can tell the browser not to block popups on certain websites. how can i do this?

2. Opera isn't remembering websites I logged into across browser sessions. Cookies are set to accept all. When I close the browser and reopen it, I need to login to any websites again. How do I fix this?

Thanks!

As far as I was aware opera only has something like one registry key and it's not needed to use opera. Thats why you can run it off a usb stick (which is was I use at college :))

As for Spyder

1. I don't thnk there is a whitelist for the popup windows, I normally just set opera to block unwanted popup and change it if I need to.

2. Have you tried checking use cookies to trace pasword protected pages?

1.) When you block unwanted pop ups, only pop ups that you donnot click on get blocked, if you want to modify that option then i doubt you will be able to, but you never know, maybe someone has a better answer.

2.) Go to your privacy tab and check under manage cookies that the websites you have been to and have a pw for are in there and have the wand logins checked and are correctly, this might be similar to the answer provided by unbated_shaggie.

Good luck, i hope you can resolve this minor issues, is a great browser...

Yay for me

you as xp1ode said it only blocks popups you didn't iniciate. If it does block one you want to get through the you could either press f12 and change it to allow it through or do what I do and put the option on your address bar.

hmm still too bad theres no whitelists so I don't have to do anything at all. Set it and forget it.

anyways.. i have a 3rd question

how do I customize the position of each bar at the top of the browser?

currently it goes like this...

menu bar

links bar

tabs bar

address bar

I want it to be:

menu bar

address bar

links bar

tabs bar

Unfortunately I don't think you can, I think the placement is hard-coded into opera. In 7.23 (I think) you used to be able to drag and drop them anywhere you want.

Wrong I think, right click on a bar and choose customize toolbars, Check the "Show hidden toolbars while customising" box, now you can click on a bar and choose its placement... then customise... Is this the way you mean

Ok, I have no idea how you did that but what the hey you can't be right all the time.

Don't suppose you could say how you did it?

edit:

I've had a play around with the bars and I think you slightly bent the rules :p I don't think you can actually move the address bar to the top but you can put the address bar in the status bar when you enable it. So technically we were both right :)
