Hotmail Disables Mail Forwarding

Recommended Posts

People usually send me mail on my hotmail account, and I remember I used to be able to forward my messages to any other email (which is something most email services provide). Hotmail now disabled this feature also :/ I want to forward my messages to my GMail account but I can't :pinch: How desperate can they become ?!

hotmail is fallin fast with them only offering 2meg and supposedly 25meg they are lossing a lot of there customers. everybody in my yr at school now has a gmail acount, with invites all over msn its crazy i dont think hotmail is going to rule the internet email service for mutch longer.

aren't there like rules that forbid hotmail from blocking gmail and disabling mail forwarding ?

No, it's a free service so they can delete emails at random, if they really want. You basically have no rights to complain when you're dealing with something you're getting for free.

So true. That's why most of the time I use my provider's email service.

There are two types of forwarding:

1) You can forward individual emails to other accounts.

2) Mail forwarding allows you to automatically forward all emails received at one account to another.

I believe it is the latter feature that is missing. I thought was only available to paid members anyways.

I thought that too. Some time ago I tried to forward my hotmail account to my uni account but free hotmail accounts don't have that option...
