And i will only hand it to a mod. lol. Also that longhorn patch you made. Sure its great but look. Your using the samething as longhorn then. I got that idea from this. See the lil green things. Its the same. And big deal it has a cirile like your theme. i never used the longhorn patch but wouldnt dis. theyarecomingforyou Posted July 1, 2004 Share Posted July 1, 2004 Personally I don't think any of them look very good, and certainly they don't fit in with Royale. Perhaps basing it on the colours, particularly the systray colours, would make them look better and fit the style. Certainly 2,3 and 4 look abysmal, but if you worked on the colours and transitions then 1 and 5 could shape up better. The red shutdown button on 5 looks *very* nice, but the black text-on-blue is a no-no (above the logon text box). The colours and transitions/shadows are, in general, poorly chosen - the green is certainly very alien in the styles. Also, you shouldn't ever try and stop people copying your work unless you lose financially - by putting it on the web you are effectively leaving people to act on their morals [which some people certainly don't care about]. I know you've withdrawn it now because of all the fuss, but try not to be so in-your-face next time as some people can get rubbed up the wrong way. NEway, enough criticising... I'm not trying to dump on you for making some effort, just trying to help you improve it - some of it has potential, just its quite amateur at the moment. The logins don't do my taste, nor do their style have anything to do with Royale - let go of the bevel and emboss effect. Anyways, keep trying.
