XiXora
1.18" iirc :) i think it gets thinner as the screensize gets bigger. with the 17" as 1" thick Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/32/#findComment-584821092 Share on other sites
thekore
i was going to say it looked about the same as my iBook but i guess im wrong (1.35 inches) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/32/#findComment-584821236 Share on other sites
macman87
The 12" is thinner than the iBook i think. Quiet a lot too. But everytime I pick up a 12" Powerbook it feels like it weighs a tone for some reason. I still want on thou. Wish Apple came out with a 13" widescreen :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/32/#findComment-584821408 Share on other sites
ahfunaki
I wish the 15" had the optical drive on the right and all the ports ( usb, firewire, dvi ) on the left. I find it rather annoying to have wires sticking out on the side where I keep my mouse... thetechroom
Power...Smurfs?!? 584818362 is it just me, or does it look like the right hand side of the pb has began to 'warp' ? It's the left side that gets really hot. :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/32/#findComment-584824552 Share on other sites

Spacedog
is it just me, or does it look like the right hand side of the pb has began to 'warp' ? 584824522 Yes, it's a little warped (you can see it only with a certain illumination). It's not caused by heat, though (that would be the left side, where the hard disk is): it's because several months ago it fell on the floor! (not from a huge height, though). I think this testifies of the great craftmanship and care Apple puts in its products: the Powerbook suffered only a minor chipping of the plastic border, and a warp in the case, on the rounded angle. I took the battery out and very carefully reshaped the case with a pincer covered by a cloth. It returned almost completely to its original shape: you can notice the tiny warp under a certain light, or brushing the angle with your fingers. ...and you know what? Maybe it lost its "virgineal perfection", but now it feels really "mine"... Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/32/#findComment-584825559 Share on other sites
