.Neo
They should update the Apple Keyboards to have those laptop-type keys. Logitech already has a bunch. Love the way how the Option key actually says "option" instead of that switch icon. jasondefaoite
My first mac :D Little mini connected to a Dell 2405. The PC is under the table ... getting a lot less usage nowadays. Need to figure out a reliable way to have a wireless keyboard and mouse with a KM switch. Any recommendations? bob_c_b
My Mac mini Core Duo set up, very pleased. I tried a Rev. A mini and couldn't take the performance hit, but no problems here, amazing little machine. Anyone looking for an XPS 400 cheap? jasondefaoite
Nice set up bob. Is that the 2007 or 2407? Any banding issues with Front Row :) Are you running any keyboard/mouse switch to control the mac and the PC? Which one are you using if you are? Any issues with it? I've been thinking about going wireless with the K/M but heard of some issues using a KM switch with the wireless configurations. I've been thinking about going wireless with the K/M but heard of some issues using a KM switch with the wireless configurations. It's a 2007FPW, I had an original Rev A00 and that had banding, but my Rev A02 has none, or at least so minimal that I don't care about it (and less than my last 2 LCDs when I run the same test). I am actually selling my PC, it is on eBay as we speak. Going to use the proceeds to pay for a new console, not sure which one yet. So I don' tneed the KM switch at this point, and very happy with the BT Apple Keyboard and MM. Might grab an iSight soon, but I have questions on mounting it and adjustment options that I just can't seem to find answer too. jlmodell
My latest mac arrived today finally! (dang fedex-- they held it over the weekend and I couldnt even arrange to go to their depot to pick it up on my own =\) I need to get a new LCD, this 2005FPW is starting to bleed(?), i don't know what the correct term is, but it's slowly dieing. I can't get used to the Bluetooth Mightly mouse, so i might be in the market for a new laser mouse, my mx1000 doesnt hold a charge like it used to. I need to sell my Core Solo Mac Mini to help recoup the cost of this thing =) .. Coming to neobay soon! jlmodell
Not really a 'fun' mac, it's more of a pro machine - who hopefully don't use their time browsing movie trailers =p. (though i have no real use for a pro machine- i just have an annoying habit of buying whatever apple releases x_x) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/102/#findComment-587817621 Share on other sites

The same logic more or less applies to the MacBook Pro. I know a fair amount of people that own a PowerMac for doing their "power" processing as well as listing to music, play a movie or showing an slideshow. And, of course, Mac OS X Leopard will ship by default with Front Row. Oh well, maybe the next gen Cinema Display will feature a build-in infrared receiver. ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/102/#findComment-587818884 Share on other sites

If it comes with Front Row, what are those of us that are still on PPC machines or those with a Mac Pro supposed to do about a remote? I could see them shipping leopard like with a bluetooth remote, but then that would make the IR receiver useless on the new intel macs. Well I guess they could always sell a remote control and IR dongle type combo with the OS or as a separate buy. Hmmm... .Neo
It's too bad we can't use the Universal Dock as an external infrared receiver for Front Row (etc.).
