Your Mac Hardware Setup

Recommended Posts

@fivehorizons, whats actually powering it, macbook pro, macbook or mac pro?

Looks great none the less! I actuallyc ant imagine it being any less wireless!

MacBook Pro. I've got it sitting on a small shelf on an m-stand underneath the desk, so everything is (sort of) in reach.

Thanks everybody who commented on my setup :)

usin leopard right? by the way awesome setup

I'm on a Hackintosh.

That is so beautiful, it makes me want to cry.

Hmmmm, I could've waited and bought a Mac, but I bought a PS3 instead. Wise decision? I guess I'll never know. :/

I did the same thing.

I'd love to put my Mac on more prominent display. Do you guys do any work requiring paper on your desk? I notice almost none of you have paper on your desk. Anyone still use this technology and where do you keep it?

Sometimes I print things on my old Laserwriter or my Phaser (whoo for CUPS)...

Seriously though, why bother?

Sheets of crushed and rolled wood pulp = archaic technology

Touching keys to make a nonphysical document = new hotness

Don't think I've posted since I got my macbookpro so thought I would. Sure I could make it look prettier if I was a better photographer.

:) The back of my mac is quite dirty, I usually do take better care of it.

What is that laptop stand? I've love to get one for my macbook.

My desktop has changed a little bit since last time. I now have gone all wireless, with the new wireless Bluetooth keyboard and the wireless Bluetooth Mighty Mouse.

But I still have tons of cable mess...

This is coming from a Mighty Mouse owner: don't even think about getting it. It's terrible, You won't be able to scroll after a few months.

@Crusader69- Nice setup (Y)

Sadly, that's 100% true. Mine has become such a pain. At first I could mess around with it to get it to scroll again, but it keeps getting worse as time goes by.

You can't clean the scroll ball at all?

You can turn it upside down and scroll vigorously (that's what Apple recommends) or you can take it apart. The first option doesn't really solve the problem, just fixes it for a while, and the second one voids your warranty and could damage the mouse.

It's kind of weird, because the Mighty Mouse's biggest strength (a great scroll ball) is also its greatest weakness, IMO.
