It's obviously not dependent on the bay, but here it is for accounts I am familiar with:

bay12- not upgraded

bay10- not upgraded

bay1- upgraded

bay2- not upgraded (I don't get it. I thought the lower numbers were older accounts. This account was registered a few months ago. Why is it bay2?)

bay19- not upgraded

no upgrade here yet either (cant check what bay it is just yet).

2 megs gets a little 'tight' after a couple of years but cant complain too much about it. though the fact that something like a space upgrade gets announced and a couple of months later, there's still nothing - that is rather unexpected (read 'irresponsible')

however, what's really annoying is the bi-weekly spam from hotmail staff (that you cant filter out) pushing you to buy an account upgrade for more space. that really *beep*s me off.

Still at 2mb, cant wait till upgrade :) i guess they do the people have had the account longer first?

Thats what I'm thinking, as i've had my hotmail account for over 8 years.

Benefits of not signing up for a new name every time I felt like it? ;)

btw, to evil_walnut, I had mine two years before Microsoft bought it.

Has to be a random selection... while still looking at member status.

[edit] As I keep looking through the thread, I'm on bay 2, and have had the upgrade for almost a month.
