skinstudio does an excellent job of converting into WB format (i've done it myself). i've been using it for about a week now and i can find only one (maybe two) flaw(s) with the skinstudio converted version... and that is there a pink box in a folder with media in it (see screenshot). also the headings 'video tasks', 'file and folder tasks', 'other places' and 'details' are in white - i'm not sure if they are supposed to be green in tune with the theme....

Why oh why did you not allow for white or at least a lighter color highlight text on the

ALL PROGRAM/FAVOURITES menus off of Start Menu Panel??

As it is now, the highlight text is black which makes these highlighted menu items barely legible on mouseover.

Apart from this aberration, I find Code 3 very near perfection.

Thanks!

A little tricky but once I took up _startgrouptoolbarbutton_bmp into my favorite editor, I was able to change the component color to something much lighter. Now the highlighted menu items in the startpanel's ALL PROGRAMS & FAVORITES are easy on the eyes upon mouseover. Dusk is working for me. Nifty. :)

The problem is - as has already been noted - the Display Properties--> Appearance-->Advanced-->Selected Items will not directly affect the rollover highlighted text on ALL PROGRAMS/FAVORITES menu items in Start menu. The only way I know to change this is to actually modify the visual style which is what I've done with ResHacker. Of course this is for my own personal and private consumption. :D

look for this in BITMAP section : _startgrouptoolbarbutton_bmp this bmp resource will be preceded with VS designation throughout the .msstyles file, e.g., alpha2_startgrouptoolbarbutton_bmp. I extracted from color scheme I wanted to modify (DUSK22/DUSK2). I then modified the top bar of two that are embeded in a transparent overlay in _startgrouptoolbarbutton_bmp. I changed the color of the bar to a very light blue. Saved my work and replaced the original in the VS. I'm a happy camper.
