A.K.R.
Do you run Windows XP? If you do, then try locking it. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/198588-taskbar-on-top-of-desktop/#findComment-584295256 Share on other sites

Hooya
He doesn't mean on top of other windows. He means on the top of the screen like where the mac taskbar usually is. adcmarti
To get your tool bar to stay on the top, put it at the top and log off not shutdown. This should save your local settings. I had a similar problem with icons re-arranging. coyotelogic
Just thought I'd mention it, since I also put the tasbar at the top. An excellent program to automatically force windows back on the screen if they get behind the taskbar is Shove-It: http://www.phord.com/ Why the hell we have to install a shareware to accomplish this is beyond me, tho. This bug has been around since Win 95, you'd think Microflaccid would of fixed it by now. Anhyone know of a freeware alternative to Shove-It? ludeboy
coyotelogic, I've been looking for a Shove-It alternative for a while now. Preferrably one with an exclude list or one that you can set the margins of the desktop because some visual styles use magic pink on the titlebar to achieve a thinner look. Thus, making Shove-It move windows too far down. coyotelogic
ludeboy: me too, esp. the exclude feature. Would be nice if there was a freeware as well. If you ever find one, plz pm me and I'll do the same.
