i'm basically doing this for you guys, so tell me how to improve :D

PS.: and NO the CD-KEY doesn't work. random letters :p - i'd need to play the lottery if that one works :ninja:)

Andreas012345, not Fireworks :p the background is 3dsmax and the composition was done in Photoshop (windows flag stolen from an Illustrator file from the web ;)). and i'm not a mac user :p Windows all the way here. can't afford a mac.

do you really think i should include the SP2 features? afterall the windows xp cd box doesn't come with "Includes WMP8 and Windows Movie Maker!" or somethig like that. i'll wait up for more opinions :)

btw, could someone rescale and print out this current versino to make sure the measures are ok? :)

And here's my go at a cd cover :).

Here is my cd cover, if anyone wants this is Photoshop Format i can send it to them, just email me at brian@staticstream.com. It does print exceptionally clear on my 1200dpi color laser and inkjet. I can also be very nice and change some of the words if you want me to. However, no changes to the graphics or additional text will be added. If anyone decides that they want it to be changed, i will change almost anything for a small donation.

jeeesus christ that looks awfully similar

but i can assure that my background was made by me :) i spent the oh-so-many hours to render that with proper DoF, so i know :p they are, yes, very similar. notice my squares are "fatter" :)

here's a different color for the background (based on the bliss color) since the grey color is usually reserved for the Server 2003 version of Windows.

should i release this?

edit: once again, the serial is BOGUS  you guys really think i'd do this? heh... it's the same serial as the previous cover i posted.

oookie... this is gonna be one hell of a big pack lol

while i dont release it, the CD cover. how does that look? (i put a black border around it so you know where it all ends)

so i should release a DVD and CD cover if it all goes well :p

once again, the serial is bogus :)

edit: dang just noticed the size of the back inlay is wrong :p will rectify that :p

edit2: fixed the size back of cd :)

here's the release, since no one mentioned anything and i'm pretty satisfied with them :p

i put up 2 PNGs for them. DVD and CD sizes at 150dpi (which prints out amazingly great :p). the cd-keys are blank, all you need to do is open your favorite editing soft (can even be done in word) and write them on top in white (or any other color readable).

Windows XP SP2 CD Inlay (592KB)

Windows XP SP2 DVD Inlay (889KB)

hope it all fits. my printer is broken :p

sorry, i didn't have permissions to edit the post above anymore.

i havent done them for SP2, and i dont rember who origionally created them (but props to whoever did.)

i can update these for SP2 and fix some other things if theres intrest -
