Mouse sensitivity in games

ok this is really beginning to annoy me, in Half Life: Counterstrike for example my mouse sensitivity is messed up, i have to really move my mouse for it to move a tiny bit, i use the same settings ive always used in xp rc1, but in XP 2600 Corp its just messed up for all games, it seems like pointer precision is on, yet i turned it off,

Please help me :(

Ive noticed this too i belive it is cause by usb mice if you are uxeing one then my theory checks out on 5 comps.

yes im using the Microsoft Intellimouse USB :(

Would it work if i used the usb-2-ps2 converter on it? cause i dont wanna be formatting and reinstallin to find out it wont :(
