Hi there

I have the H140 and it's an excellent player - especially with the radio and remote. The sound quality is brilliant and so is battery life but I must admit I prefer my Rio Karma, but only because it supports the FLAC format and gapless playback.

There should be a firmware update released shortly that will support gapless playback though.

Great player, I would recommed it.

It really supports FLAC?

Sorry about it, but what does FLAC mean?

And i heard that you can't get the battery out... It made me sad, 'couse there's no iRiver here in Brazil, so if the battery gets a problem, i'll have to send it all to the USA using the RMA...

Is it really worth?

FLAC is Free Lossless Audio Codec

I had no idea any portable players supported the format.

And it does support both FLAC and Ogg Vobris, I'm freakin' amazed. I had no idea about this.

And this Rio Karma, is the battery replaceble?

I keep my Rio Karma in a case that is made for the Gameboy Advance SP (don't laugh!).

It fits exactly right and protects it as much as needed.

And yes, the battery is replaceable - if you open the thing up and change it (I've done this).

Yup - rather nice, isn't it. I hope they bring out a model with a larger hard disk now as I filled up the 20GB drive with Pink Floyd encoded in FLAC. You can really tell the difference FLAC vs OGG with a band like that.
