AVI (and/or) MPeG (Joiner/Connector/Merger)..?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone out there can point me to a free piece of software that will connect to or more .avi, .mpg or .mpeg files together to create an overall single file.

It would be even better if this software will work in WinXP. Win2K is okay as most software applications will work in WinXP.

Yeah I have been looking for a program that will actually split videos into parts! I have a few divx films that wont even fit on a 700mb cdr :-(

points to google search engine> try that. try a search "avi mpg mpeg joiner" and it'll give ya a whole slew of pages, same goes for splitter/cutter.

VirtualDub is the program you want to use to split files =)

You may want to head oer to Divx.com to pick it up, and read up on it, as there are certain settings that you may want to use to make your movie come out nice.

well, if u can acquire a copy of QuickTime Pro, cracked or otherwise, u can merge the AVIs that way, and even make you own titles and stuff.

i know there are people out there who will say "Eww!! QuickTime, man!!!", but u have to admit, it can be an invaluable media tool.

then u can export it to any format smaller than the original AVI, and fit more movies on the 700MB.

just an idea. nothin but time to loose.
