DTV_Janus Posted August 16, 2004 Share Posted August 16, 2004 I have object dock runnning and it hides the task bar so the dock is my main computer control center. The only problem is that most all programs (minus winamp :blink: ) think that the bar is still there! Is there a reg tweak that can change this? Check out the shot.... You could try playing with the windowmetrics in the registry, have backups if you do. I basically ended up w/ the autohidden taskbar along with objectdock's option to hide the taskbar as well. Now the taskbar WILL reappear at times, but I've listed the events that do such things below a) a new window opening without being in focus b) certain program events in a window not in focus c) the thingy by the clock in the lower right (its late, and words escape me) that have different program icons (virus protection, winamp, etc) hiding inactive icons d) opening the start menu through any way at times will cause the bar to reappear, but not always...haven't figured out the pattern to this one yet. Now as far as I know, those are the only things that will make the taskbar reappear. I know its not perfect, but its the best I've found so far.
