Command & Conquer 3

meh it makes sense to me; basically after RA2's WWII we end up pretty much the same way we are now except with slightly more advanced tech. USA and China are the main superpowers, and terrorists in the middle east challenge them. After the terrorists are defeated, they form with the Nod and begin to challenge the superpowers again. IMO it makes sense, and it's all tied in together. Granted, EA didn't do a good job of making generals feel like it was a part of the story, but I believe it was probably meant to be.

and that file above is pretty much amazing if you really take a look at it. Sure, it could all be made up, but even if it is it's an amazing story. With the ammount of detail though, I'd be surprised if it didn't come from somewhere near Westwood. :/

Official information:

C&C was published by VIRGIN INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT

C&C:Red Alert was published by WESTWOOD STUDIOS

C&C:Tiberian Sun was published by EA

according to this, we can know the time EA bought Westwood should be between RA(Red Alert) and TS(Tiberian Sun)

I already posted about that above... read ;)

Enough of saying RA and C&C are separate! obviously none of you have paid attention to the actual story

you want proof? Here's like 10 pages worth: http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/fil...nquer_story.txt

the entire C&C story laid out clearly. It's one big storyline, Generals fits in between the two franchises, and twilight comes after everything. China is even tied in.

GENERALS AND RED ALERT 2 ARE NOT IN THE ORIGINAL COMMAND & CONQUER TIMELINE!

Ask anyone who's worked at EALA, EA Pacific or Westwood and they'll tell you that. RA2 and Generals are alternate universes (according to interviews done with Command & Conquer sites in the past). Red Alert [1] was Tiberian Dawn's (unofficial name for Command & Conquer) prequel.

how can RA1 and RA2 not be connected? have you installed the game recently? during the installation it pretty much gives you the whole story of RA1, then tells how RA2 is connected and sets up the story. That's the way I took it.

as for generals, sure there's nothing really concrete connecting the game, but it makes sense in the timeline, and things like the partical cannon/ion cannon were in both games, so it seems to me like they're connected.

Again: alternate universe. C&C happened right after RA. RA2 happened after it, too, but in a different reality, according to Westwood (when it was around).

Just because something makes sense doesn't make it right. Lots of things can make sense. Heck, you could argue that Warcraft III would fit in the C&C timeline somewhere -- it'd make sense, but it wouldn't be right.
