Take your time, there is no need to rush it out. Good luck man, hope you create something great. PS. I got one advice for you about the icons. The best thing is to use icons that come directly from Windows itself. So rip icons out of for example shell32.dll and use those. The advantage is that the whole application will blend in nicely with the rest of the OS. There is nothing more annoying then an application that looks totally out of place. So please don't start using GANT icons for example, just keep it simple and professional.
