Just downloaded it and tested gui, looks supperb, nice and simple and easy to find what you want/need

No bugs or problems as far as i can see!

Excellent job and i look forward to using this when it is released.

Only thing i ask is for an installer rather than just the .zip when it is released which im sure will come once released...

Andrew

LOL, dude :D *laugh :)

Maybe today the pre-Alpha version will be updated... I'll report. :)

Oh, and here is, what I understand about versions:

pre-Alpha : The UI designing

Alpha : The basic functions

Beta : About all functions, which should be in the release, also debug version

Release : Final version

:)

@Soviet: whats do you mean?? :) App size is 200 KB, or how much is it till the final?? A: Pretty much... I'm slow, becuase of the school.

@Space Guy: Thank you :) You should... Learn, learn and learn, if you have the ability to :) Someday, you'll need it :)

Another quality Pre-Alpha. Great work :D

Haven't found any problems with the "New Download" window. Except, as it is modal to the main application, is it required to appear as another taskbar button?

Secondly, this is very borderline between UI and functionality, however I thought I would mention it.

Take a typical scenario of copying a URL to the clipboard, and pasting the URL into the URL box.

If you aren't paying attention and you hit paste then you end up with a URL like http://http://www.addy.com/file.zip

One way around this is have the http:// automatically highlighted/selected when clicking in the URL box.

The other way of course is to do a check for a double http:// and remove the leading part.

Brilliant work.

Looking forward to the next phase :)

:) Thank you.. Again, your nice reply :) Because of your reply I've just made an internal build (this one will not be public) with following fixes & features:

- "New Download" windows is not more in the taskbar.

- Added a new button on the top of URL box, which allows you to paste the URL from the clipboard.

- If user clicks on URL box, the text "http://" is automaticly selected.

- Added Drag&Drop feature to the URL box.

Thanks again, Whitelighter :)

Hm.... I've thought something about following idea, if a user drag and drops a URL e.g. from IE explorer address bar, application recognize the http:// or ftp:// prefix, loads it in the combo box, and the other rest of the URL comes in the URL box... And in the Settings window, the user has the ability to select the default prefix... Here's a screenshot.
