Sorry, about that that you always must ask for the application status, and I dont tell it myself.

I had a problem in my personal live :( ... with my girlfriend :'( I don't like to speak about it, but. It was like, I was together with her, her parent didn't knew anything about it... So, they made her a couple with other guy. She told me it, .... wow it f*ck*ng hurts! I wasn't developing Download Manager... I couldn't :( Sorry again...

By the way, my current action is -- opening Visual Studio .NET :)

Is this IE only?

No, Download Manager is Stand-Alone application. I think, later about to provide plugins for Browsers :)

dont worry about it, take care of yourself first :)

I did/do/will do it :p

I've started coding the new Download Manager :) ... We've got some new features ;)

I'll report later.

Oh, and by the way, here's the new concept of the UI, created by Dadan121 [member of HQFW.org] :) Enjoy

well it looks nice...but if you go that route, i certainly hope you still can use individual download windows which are much smaller :p

Thank you:DD Yup:)) You can do this (well, it's the idea). You click on the download twice, and you can see a simple download - window... like about in Internet Explorer:))

OOOOhhhh :p :ninja: *no comment*

I'm now trying to code a protocol which can handle HTTP (from scratch) ;) That means, I'm not using those classes, which are directly intergrated in .NET :)

mmmk but why?

Are the protocol/s in .NET no good?

You know the saying - "There's no point reinventing the wheel"

I thought one of the major things you have been telling us for some time is that it will use the BITS system?

I'm not criticising, just concerned

BITS -- ah yes the nice servic:):) I decided to leave it... I think, applications like WU can use it... But it's not "enough" for a Download Manager (BITS are in .NET 2.0, and I don't want to use the external .dlls)

Protocols -- they are good!:):) I like them... But, I would also like to try some new thing;);)

Edit: Once, I've added the HTTP1.0 protocol, I think, I'll be able to add FTP protocol, since .NET 1.1 has no support for FT;);)

Ok, a little update :)

Let's see what happens :p

I'll do this but probably no in this release. :p

That means: Download Manager will support only HTTP - downloads :)

I'm currently working on Version 1.0 final... I'll create a new thread, when DM is done ;)

Edit: Ok, again, time for a little update b4 I go to sleep :p

I've just finished the Download Overview window (how it looks like, you can see in the screenshot) The next, what I'm gonna do, is, continue to code the Download Manager engine ;) cYa tomorrow

thats nice :) would it be possible to still have an option for an even simpler download window? eg: one without the graphics, and just basically the file, where its saving to, and pause/cancel buttons?
