Slipstreaming Windows XP Service Pack 2 & Boot CD!

Well ptiliffe, I'm going to give your manual a try. It appears as though you put plenty of your blood sweat and tears into this project. I read the entire thread and it looks like you have given quite a few people some reliable info. I saw you had to stand your ground a couple of times but it never turned into a flame-war. That's a relief, I hate it when a couple of people try to ruin something good.

Thanx again for all the work and I hope that in the next couple of days I can let you know my experience with you tutorial.

Sorry dude, like i said i am a damn noob

Since your a n00b I'll let it slide this time. Please learn not to hi-jack peoples threads with your own or someone elses content. I have created this thread to display my article only. Thanks.

Just an update everyone to let everyone know that the site is now available on a new mirror. It does chew a lot of bandwidth so I had trouble with geocities. It was constantly being overused. So I bought a domain and hosting and now there is a second mirror. So if one link does not work try the other. Thanks.

This is an article I have written about slipstreaming. Slipstreaming is what's known as integrating an operating systems latest service pack into the installation procedure on a new bootable CD. The result is a working bootable CD of the original operating system and the integrated service pack in one. With any fresh installation, the operating system and the latest service pack will both be installed at the same time in one clean installation. You can also integrate other software like Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security or Nortons Internet Security for example.

Hi there,Your guide is perfect....I just got one question....If I have a windowsXP instal CD in an other language than English, than I guess that I have to download the SP2 version for that language, right?

That's all.....

......thanks in advance

Very nice guide, however I got this error after extracting, when applied this command, "WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU /integrate:C:\WinXP-CD". Any ideas what may be wrong?

Do you just get that from copying the CD files to the desktop?

Maybe this :http://www.nliteos.com/

No, I copied CD files and SP2 successfully on my hard drive. That appeard after the extraction of SP2 file when i entered the integration command in command prompt; as stated in the guide exactly.
