Sensayshun
on Win98se my boot time was 13seconds and I just installed XP Pro and now It's much longer I should imagine about 20 or so seconds now. Wouldn't mind having it faster but 20seconds is fine, considering the pc i'm on now takes about 4minutes. joeydoo
1 min dead. Full prefetch and normal startup including ati thing, norton internet security 04, 55 processes in all. Also have to wait 20 seconds for crappy logitec bluetooth keboard mouse stuff to kick in. Thats from power button to mouse moving, well it moves at 35 secs but the bluetooth thing freezes it for 10 secs then and resets it. Thats on a 10K raptor. That is a fast drive. Some people take on here have said it takes 3 mins to load up windows. When I last installed it took 10 minutes to get to functioning windows including having to do all those setting's pages. I never timed it's startup time back when it was fresh but I remember it was very quick. Sub 10sec without trying.
