The My Documents icon should change if you edit the defaulticon in the registry: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{00000000-5002-0000-0000-000000000002}\DefaultIcon] The problem with the Recycle Bin & Winamp is my fault (I used the same CLSID for both). First import the old "Remove Winamp.reg" and the "Add Recycle Bin MUP.reg", and then import the "Add Winamp.reg" from the attached zip. nissmo300
Herby I tried to make one of my own shortcuts but have some problems I basically want to make 1 icon so when i right click on it, it'll show me my apps. For example this is what I did: 1. I went to the CLSID where you created yours. 2. I made a dummy key called: {00000000-5001-0000-0000-000000000002} 3. Then under that I created 3 more dummy keys like the ones you had. I looked like this: CLSID {00000000-5001-0000-0000-000000000002} DefaultIcon Shell Ad-Aware SE Command (%ProgramFiles%\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Professional\Ad-Aware.exe) ShellFolder But when I export it and try it, it says Access Denied. Fridge
Alright, I've modded the heck outta my Office icon, and the only thing left is how do I change the focus of the button? As in, what it does when I double-click it. As I have it now, it would open Access (since it's on top of the list it gets preference?), how would I switch it so it opened Word on double-click? To make Word the default one you must change the key name from the Word command to Open or put an zero in front of it: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{00000000-5070-0000-0000-000000000002}\Shell\Open] @="Word" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{00000000-5070-0000-0000-000000000002}\Shell\Open\Command] @=...... or [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{00000000-5070-0000-0000-000000000002}\Shell\0Word] @="Word" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{00000000-5070-0000-0000-000000000002}\Shell\0Word\Command] @=...... Herby
I want Icons without Text in C:\Documents and Settings\NeTMeN5\Dane aplikacji\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch, not on desktop, how Herby? help :> 584879737[/snapback] First edit the "Add My Documents.reg" and remove the line that makes the Icon show up on your Desktop: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{00000000-5002-0000-0000-000000000002}] Now import the "Remove My Documents.reg" and import the modified "Add My Documents.reg". Now create a new folder and rename it to x. Open the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd) and go to the directory where you created the "x" directory and rename it to .{00000000-5002-0000-0000-000000000002} rename x .{00000000-5002-0000-0000-000000000002} (or use the renamed folder in the Attachment) This folder acts like the shortcut on your Desktop and like a folder. You can explore it and hide stuff in there :shifty: and you can cut, copy, rename and delete it. Herby.. You ROCK!!! Thanks a lot for doing this. (I know I already thanked you, but doesnt seem enough). You have taken so much time to help out n fulfill requests and troubleshoot. Fridge
Thanks a lot... and now I'e got another question :D I'm trying to make a counter-strike button by modding the IE one. Changed the default icon, deleted all the keys in Shell except Open and changed it's command path to "%ProgramFiles%\Steam\Steam.exe -applaunch 10". This is the same as the path on the regular shortcut I use now, but it's popping up an error message with title "Desktop" and message "Access Is Denied". Any clue what might be causing this? EDIT: Never mind, changing from the %ProgramFiles% to a literal C:\Program Files solved the problem...
netmen
Herby: But it does not want this position: rename, antivirus, winrar, etc. Some ideas?
