yeah, hi. this is all too familiar. i'll pay someone who can explain to me why bobby cox brought in chris reitsma, who has been hammered over the last month or so of the season, instead of going to alfonseca, who has pitched surprisingly well.. does he really think that a deciding game in the playoffs is a good time to build a pitchers confidence back? also, carlos beltran has already hit 2 HRs in the game. 3-1 count. runner on 2nd. just go ahead and walk him.. nope.. base hit, another RBI. good call. i was at the game tonight, 3rd year in a row ive been there to see us eliminated, and it never gets any easier. we werent supposed to make it this far, but it still hurts. i have no idea what our team is going to look like next season. i'm going to be ****ed off for a week or so, then i'll move on. the falcons are playing well at least this year, and when march comes around, i'll be ready to do it all over again. Thanks for another great regular season atlanta.. theres always next year.

and in the meantime, go sox.

man, that sucks for you dude. sounds like he did make some pretty bad decisions...that pitcher did get rocked though...

i think the yanks are gonna do it, but not because of their pitching. especially since Mo might not play tonight due to the unfortunate events that happened over the weekend. Just remember, the yanks are #1 for comeback victories and making Schilling sit in the dugout crying.

Mussina was pitching great untill he gave up that hit in the 7th (or was it the 6th) you could tell he was ****ed and after that he wasnt trying as hard.

but Riverra... what can you say. for a guy that just lost 2 family members and to fly to NY, and get a police escort to the game, and pitch the game to save it. wow. thats dedication.

I cannot believe the 'Stros pulled this one out today! I shut the game off at 4-1 and had to take the kid's to a birthday party (try to get them to turn on a TV at Chuck E Cheese). Anyway, they announced the 6-5 win and I went crazy. Now we need another Backe miracle to make it 3-2 and head beck to St. Louis!!!

def cant wait for the boston/new york game... i am surprised boston was able to pull off the win after that terrible inning with the poor infield play... but.. either way.. i want to see boston come out with the win in this series... (even though it is unlikely)... i predict a newyork/houston world series but am hoping for a Boston/Houston WS!!!

Not to put the cart before the horse, but wouldn't it be great seeing Clemens pitch in New York?  Think maybe he would get a nice ovation from the crowd?  I think they would salute him, but there would probably be a few boo birds.

I would boo him.

Nothing worse than saying you'd end your career in New York, then coming back and pitching for another team, especially in the World Series, he'd never heart the end of it. :shifty:

qft.

I always said Clemens was evil since he left us.

I really couldn't believe we lost game three. It wasn't even a loss, it was a freaking massacre. However, if we pull off a win today, we'll be in a similar place as were last year (losing the series 3 to 2 going into New York for two games). So all is not lost!

(btw, me = Red Sox fan if you didn't catch on  )
