[CRICKET] Gavaskar-Border Series

Dude, Dish is bcasting it live for free on channel 457. You missed one hell of an innings from Australians.

After all the hype from Indian media about this series, this is what you get. They made it look like India has already won the series. oh well.

India is in deep trouble, they still need some 150 runs to avoid follow-on.

Yes, missed the first day but caught the action today. Clarke showed application and was a class apart from his colleagues & Indians because of that. Both Sehwag & Ganguly were clearly in better touch than Clarke but gifted their wickets away, which Clarke didnt. Yuvraj doesnt seem to have the patience for test cricket yet, maybe they should not hurry him and send him packing because of these failures.

Still it was an interesting days play, especially that Warne delivery that got rid of Laxman, what a beauty ! The one McGrath got rid of Dravid was also extraordinary.

Patel & Pathan might have to do smething special if India needs to avoid the follow-on by get 125 runs more. Stiff ask but anything is possible in cricket. ;)

Australia 474 all out

Clarke 151

Gilchrist 103

Katich 81

India 150/6

Ganguly 45

Sehwag 39

Yeah, game is certainly tilted towards Australia.

Today, Pathan was taking the challenge to Warne and starting to smack him around the park. Thats when the Aussies pulled one out of their hat, sadly excessive & unsportive appealing and wrong judgement got them Pathan's wicket. Never expected them to stoop so low to get the wicket of a Indian bowler. :o

But I don't think he can bat for one whole day.

Dravid can bat for more than one day straight, no doubts about it. He has done on many occasions in the past, just that this time he doesnt have any specialist batsman at the non-strikers end. Still Pathan is very determined to stay at the crease, we'll see what happens. Odds are in favor of Australia, from the first day to the last.

Damn we lost, our batting sucked. Oh well, still some more tests left. I hope this isnt the case through the whole winter especially with Australia and South Africa.

Slightly OT - why is Sky Sports not showing this live? as least highlights. Now its on Setanta PPV :(

Damn, too bac about the rain :( it would have been a great finish. India needing a few hundred runs and Australia trying to get them out.

Oh well at Least India played much better this time and Kumble has shown what he can do also.

No Pathan in the next test, Nehra returns but I hope it becomes a good game
