grid001 Posted October 6, 2004 Share Posted October 6, 2004 For those of you using Windows 2003 who'd like to run that stubborn XP application that you so want to run under 2k3 - here is a quick way of running it - provided the installation file is in *.msi format (dont know how to do it with any other extension) Using Orca (microsoft's msi editor which can be found in their SDK package) open the msi file and go down to "LaunchCondition" then delete the 2 obstructing lines. ie. version-9x only save the msi file. and run the file boom now its running on win2k3 I actually picked this idea up from running Doom3 on win2k3. Seems like it works for other msi files as well. Dont remember who originally posted the idea. But props to who ever did.
