krylon88
Hi I just reformatted my computer today and im having some problems with my cd drives. Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. It gives this error with both the cd drives one is a hitachi GD-2500 and the other is a creative. Can anyone help me out with this?
OPaul
Try removing it from the Device Manager and restart.

OPaul
Well if your reinstalling then diagnosing the problem is a little pointless now. That file may be corrupt if your XP CD has scratches on it or if your CD drive is just generally crapping out.
