screaminmonkee
Ok, when I press and hold ctrl+alt+del it says "Tast manager has been disabled by your administrator" when I'm in fact the Administator! Is there anyway to resolve this, it's become quite annoying :( Ps: I'm on XP Home
goatsniffer
It's a registry setting. I forgot the exact registry key, so try to google "disable task manager in win xp".
dougkinzinger
There was just another thread about this last week. Search in our forums and you'll find it. I think the resolution was a registry key. Welcome to Neowin.
screaminmonkee
Thanks alot, I'll search. But on a side note I can't use regedit. And I just scanned for virues and I got a "scvhost.exe"
dougkinzinger
SCV, or SVC? SVC=good, SCV=bad.
screaminmonkee
SCV its hard to delete when you can't use regedit I'm seeing if Ad-Aware can pick it up and delete it. Edit: Hmmm it seemed to have delete it but Bazooka Scanner still detects it, I'm gonna try rebooting.
