Xer34
Dont go to the recovery console. Instead try to repair the windows partition. At least thats what I always do

jamend
If you meant that you want to do a repair install, just choose continue with windows installation. After it does a quick scan of your drive it'll tell you if it found any previous installations and you'll have the option of doing a repair install. apopilot
Does it matter that I have SP2 installed?
configure Veteran Posted October 8, 2004 Veteran Share Posted October 8, 2004 Yes. If you already have SP2 installed, you need to repair with a CD that has SP2 slipstreamed.
apopilot
How do I get a copy of SP2 slip streamed? I did a WINDOWS REPAIR using my SP1 DISK and it gets stuck on the windows logo upon reboot. I take it I need a SP2 SLIP STREAMED set-up.
Suren
copy the file drvmain.sdb file from your sp2 disk(from where you installed sp2) into a floppy or something and paste this into the following folder "C:\windows\apppatch\" in recovery console mode :D
