Don't delete it. I have seen other people with this problem before. If you delete it, you are going to damage your Windows installation and you may need to reinstall Windows or even format your hard drive.

Not true. Windows won't let you delete it if you are booted into it. You likely just created a shortcut to Windows and are trying to delete it.;);)

Yes it's probably only a shortcut, which got somehow in to the recycle bin.

:alien: Yeah I had that happen a couple of times before. Not really sure what the problem was but i have since rebuilt my machine and the problem is gone.

Good luck with this. It doesnt really effect anything but it annoying and will happen again in the future if you dont find a solution. :alien:

Me too, but when i went to delete it, it wouldnt let me, so I restarted windows and deleted it then! This used to happen all the time, like once a week! However, I recently formated my PC and have had no further occurance of this problem! :p

All Windows XX Pro OS's have that problem. It will pop up saying Do you want to delete 'Windows', hit yes and see what happens. It wont let you. Delete a shortcut and then go to the bin, single click the delted shortcut and press the del key on the k-board, the offending Windows error goes away.
