shake
games do portray violence but no more than any movie that kids have access to. So just blaming the games for the kiddie violence in the world is just stupid. Especialy when the new games are taking responsibility and stamping proper age rating on games like it contains blood and gore, for 18+ etc. I am not saying that i condone mindless game violence (like postal 2 that has the player ****ing on people). That is just senseless Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/231159-do-games-cause-violence/page/3/#findComment-584759441 Share on other sites

Codegen
No. I do get a little ****ed when the computer opponents can do everything so perfectly, you do the same thing, you crash. I end up having a bit of a temper tantrum on my keyboard. ...So that's why I go through so many keyboards :/ Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/231159-do-games-cause-violence/page/3/#findComment-584759565 Share on other sites
Codegen
I've been watching violent movies sense I was 5 or 6. Playing violent games since I was 8. I'm 13, and the only time I really feel like kicking someone elses ass is when they attempt it w/ me. Nherya
i think yes, although all depends of the person. if you use to see violence at the games, you will see as normal to act in that way in the real life. its my opinion, but i mean about some kind of games like San andreas... shrike
everybody THINKS about going nuts and killing people. It's just the way we are. But it's only the people that have inherited, or conditioned to, violence that SOMETIMES go ahead with it. That said... I don't think that games CAUSE violence. It was around long before games came about. (see: history). H5N
In a way, yes, because today people are more exposed to violent viedo games, then say, they were ten or fifteen years ago. I think it does influence them in a way. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/231159-do-games-cause-violence/page/3/#findComment-585975065 Share on other sites
