this is a shot looking at downtown LA.. you cant really see a lot because of the image quality.. but on some smoggy days you can't even see the buildings.. it was a clear day today.. those who know LA.. i'm near the corner of Wilshire and Normandie at the equatable building.

vice, the ambassador hotel is in debate at courts ... whether it shud be bombed down and a school be built on it or ..... stay like this like a historical place.

robert kennedys(who was shot here) son says it shud be taken down and a commnunity school be built.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada is an island.

License plates - can be any of the following for the whole province (depending on when they were made): ABC 123 or 123 ABC or 123A456

Weather is cold, unless it's hot. We have 4 seasons here, summer, winter, still winter, and almost summer but still winter.

I live in a suburban area not far from the downtown core. Accessible by train, bus and metro, you can go pretty much anywhere on the island.

We have at least 2 of the biggest international festival's every year, Jazz and Comedy.

We have many, many churches.

Best part of Montreal is the underground though... does any other city have such a cool basement? =)

I live in Vancouver BC, and I absoutley love it. Our phone numbers are 10 digits for local dialing 123-456-7890. Our license plates are abc-123 or 123-acb. Some truck license plates are different. We also have vanity plates (custom plate e.g. Joes Car) and special plates for Veterans.

Public transportation includes a ground communiter train that takes people from the outlying communites to the downtown core. We have an extensive busing system (electric busses ONLY in the downtown core, and natural gas elsewhere). Stanley park is located right downtown and is well know for its beauty. It is a 1000 acre or 400 hectre park devoted to preserving the beauty of our enviroment. We have a 40 mile sea wall; a paved path for bikers and joggers that follows the coast all around the city and the park.

I've noticed that our streets are not crowded at all by hanging signs or advertisements like they are in europe and asia. We do have a slight problem with the homeless, but the city council is in the final stages of finding jobs, houses, and de-tox for the willing.

We are a booming film industry, nick-named 'Hollywood North'. its now 70% of all majour movie releases have some Vancouver filming in them. We are a stones throw from a world renouned ski resort, Whistler. We are also hosting the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

The population of the downtown core city of Vancouver is 900,000. The total population of Vancouver, and the greater Vancouver area is 3.8 million people, and growing rapidly.

I will post images capturing the beauty of Vancouver, Stanley Park, Whistler, and the Great Vancouver area soon after making this post!

And would be more than willing to answer questions/comments!

P.S. Ahh and yes, to confirm the sterotype, we love our hockey here! The Vancouver Canucks (Our NHL team) Sell out every single game :D

Obviously I'm very proud of my city, I think that everyone should be proud of their home town, regaurdless of how big or small it is! But one thing that everyone says about Vancouver, and BC in general is the air. Our pollution is very low. I notice the difference everytime I travel. 98% of our power is supplied by Hydro-Electric damns. We even have 13 Hydro facilities that run at 10% becuase we dont need the power they produce.

I'd like to add that I absolutely love Australial. I acually have dual citizenship with Australia! I try to make it there at least once a year. Positively beautiful and friendly country. If there is one place you travel (Besides Vancouver ;)) Make it Australia.
