Toxikk Veteran Posted October 20, 2004 Veteran Share Posted October 20, 2004 Bill Morgan, the doctor who performed the procedure on him said [on local sports radio] that it's very possible Schilling could pitch again next week if necessary. They would have to do the same procedure to him again since the stitches have already been removed. Even if you are a Yankee fan, you have to admire a guy who is willing to have his tendon stitched up out of place to pitch. Even if he wasn't 100% sharp, Cy Young calibur -- he put everything he had on the line to get the win and that is what makes a champion. Of course, if the Sox lose it will all be for nothing. 584772799 no way dude. first team in mlb history to come down from 0-3 to tie a series. that is more than nothing. schilling is a damn stud by the way. Hawkeye
i called it from day one. sox in 7! has a 0-3 comeback ever been done in any major sport with 7 game series? 584774084 Yes, it happeend twice in the NHL. Once in the '40s and once in the '70s. It has not happened in all of professional baseball (MLB) or basketball (NBA), however. I'm a Yankee fan for life, but I know a good opponent when I see one. This is going to be an awesome game 7. The Yankees have much, much more to lose tonight than the Red Sox do. A Red Sox win tonight will forever be known as the comeback from 0-3 to beat the New York Yankees!

L3thal Veteran Posted October 20, 2004 Veteran Share Posted October 20, 2004 They made history by taking an 0-3 series to game 7. Now that they made history, mine as well make it again by winning game 7 :p
threetonesun
What about the New Jersey Devils coming back to beat the Phillidelphia Flyers a few years ago? 584774239 Nope. Just twice in NHL, once in the 70s, once in the 40s. That's out of, including MLB, NBA, and NHL, about 400 series  I hope the Sox win, but we all saw game 7 last year, in the Bronx. It made us cry, and a small part of me is reserved in case that happens again. On the other hand, I called Sox Astros for the WS before the playoffs started so *crosses fingers*

Hurmoth
:( Well, as much as I want the Yankees to win, it doens't look to good right now. Congratulations Boston! There's still a chance we can win, I mean we do have 61 come-from-behind wins this year, but it isn't going to be easy
