mattmatik Posted October 24, 2004 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Look, those touchdowns, receiving yards, catches, Pro-Bowls, etc. didn't just fall into Terrell Owens' lap. Somebody had to give him the ball. Hell, Owens never would have been able to sign that Sharpie contract if Garcia didn't throw him the touchdown pass. But, of course, blame the guy who does all the work. Blame the guy who kept his mouth shut and kept making plays on the field. I really enjoyed watching Garcia play for the 49ers week in and week out. I also enjoyed Terrell's time here, excluding his stupid off-the-field remarks. I'm sick of this growing trend of people taking credit for only providing half of the work. It's not just sports, it's everywhere. And those people get all of the press, all of the limelight, all of the noteriety. I'll always be grateful for Barry Sanders.
