Liked it better without the text. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/237903-vs-luna-element/page/7/#findComment-584846043 Share on other sites
Guest Nuroticat
Love the new start button. You should still include the original one as an option though, making two button style choices for the rest of the schemes you add. I would appreciate that more than the typical compact start menu and thin taskbar additions. Great job em3. Who would have thought new life would/could be breathed into Luna like this? Startbutton (normal, exept another startbutton) * Compact (thin taskbar, compact startmenu, compact window captionbars, another startbutton) The black version I'm working on will be a new file. It will include all the above alternatives also. Important! This does not happen over a night. Please have patience. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/237903-vs-luna-element/page/7/#findComment-584846293 Share on other sites
summers
Nice theme. Nothing spectacular or unique, but a theme thats easy on the eyes, has few compatibility problems and looks perfect on an LCD monitor. I was modding on a Luna theme but stopped when I came across yours. This one's a keeper. I do have a request though. Can you make the taskbar with rounded edges (refer to Royal Blue Mod)? I'd like to shift my taskbar to the top of the screen. Oh, and perhaps a rounded edges mod for those who prefers that the taskbar remains at the bottom. Thanks! - Summers Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/237903-vs-luna-element/page/7/#findComment-584846334 Share on other sites
em3
No rounded edges. Sorry. What are the compatibility problems? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/237903-vs-luna-element/page/7/#findComment-584846348 Share on other sites

em3
Don't like that mod. You only made it worse. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/237903-vs-luna-element/page/7/#findComment-584846498 Share on other sites
Mad_Griffith
I also suggest em3 to make a no-roundborder-captionbar version. I think it would be more professional... those round borders make the theme so childish... gigapixels Veteran Posted November 2, 2004 Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2004 VERY nice Luna mod. Best one yet, in my opinion (Y) Although I am going to wait until that compact version you're working on is finished... Rodrigo
Has anyone tried or suggested a longhornish start button? With only the normal XP flag in the middle of the button, I don't know how'd it look. Lee G. Veteran Posted November 2, 2004 Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2004 This is probably one of the best theme for Windows XP. However when I run Microsoft Word 2003, the menus are gray. Could they be made to the default Windows XP Luna blue? bcool
I'd love to see this in a deep dark rich navy blue scheme. (1.) Let's make the basic Start Button #367998 and then do a little 3D shading for the depressed button(#2792C5) and finally the locked button(#145169). Something in that range. (2.) For the taskbar, I'd love to see #253D5F - this is the deep rich dark navy blue that could be the basis for the rest of this scheme. Ok, I can wish can't I? :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/237903-vs-luna-element/page/7/#findComment-584849624 Share on other sites
Lee G. Veteran Posted November 2, 2004 Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2004 Sounds good. Apart from Stylebuilder and StyleXP, does anyone know any theme building programs, which you can edit and save styles as .msstyles and are free (trial will do)? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/237903-vs-luna-element/page/7/#findComment-584849932 Share on other sites

Lee G. Veteran Posted November 2, 2004 Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2004 resource hacker 584849937[/snapback] Oh yeah. I forgot - I have Resource Hacker - I'll use it now. I was thinking more along the lines of an actual visual program. Thanks for reminding me of the question. This is kind of off topic, but how do you make parts of a bitmap transparent, for use in a theme? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/237903-vs-luna-element/page/7/#findComment-584850011 Share on other sites
