I ditched Samurize already. :yes:

Well I still got Samurize for the sole reason to display album cover art when playing MP3's...

Another thing that would be nice if Konfabulator had was the ability to add shortcut to drives and folders and have labels on them like AveDesk is able to do.

And also I can't find an option to stick the widgets to the desktop.. everytime I hit the "Show desktop" everything disappears. And if I push F8 (konspos?) all the widgets show up but when I click on an empty space on the desktop they will disappear again.

I would like them to be ON desktop all the time.

Too bad konfab's site is smashed down by everybody otherwise I would've posted my questions there...

I doubt this will replace Samurize any time soon. Samurize has the capability to do almost anything imaginable, takes up little memory, sticks to the desktop always, AND has the ever-so-important feature of minimizing to <500k so it doesn't interfere with gaming performance.

^^ I agree. Samurize is so amazingly customizable. I tried this software but, frankly, I don't see what the fuss is about. Samurize is much better. (No process for each widget, no 10 mb for each one...)

Konfabulator has a lot to progress, if it wants to compete with Samurize on Windows.

I wish I wasn't such a newb at coding, anyone know how to sort this?

I thought it'd be a case of altering the following so that it will change it to "Microsoft Settles With Novell ..." for example but it doesn't seem to do anything :(

RSSItems[i][3] = new Text();
 	 var descString = getNodeContent(contentArr['item'][i],"title");
 	 if(descString.length > 20){
    var descString = descString.substring(0,20) + "..."
 	 }

I hope you guys at least try out DesktopX. It's existed long before Konfabulator, has a freeware version, does a lot more, and looks just as nice.

I.e. just because something started out on the Mac doesn't make it better. Just make sure you TRY Kapsules, Avedesk, Samurize, and DesktopX.

Incidentally, DesktopX also uses a LOT less memory and CPU:
