I am going to have to disagree w/ all the dhl bashing on this thread. I really don't understand why everyone is having such a hard time with them. IBM uses DHL, and i've shipped my laptop back and forth w/ dhl w/ no problems. 5 day total time from calling ibm, them overnighting a box, me having dhl pick it up the day after i get it, and then ibm working on it, and then shipping it back. Not bad by any means. Their overnight is actually... overnight. All these delays must be on shippers end. Great service from dhl all around in my experiances. No dented boxes, nothing.

hopefully they deliver the monitor in time and with no damages. also i talked to the cutomer support and they said that the monitors are packaged in Texas , California ... so i am assuming it wont take that long for the package to reach CA.

Where you ordering the graphics card from mate?

I am living in Denmark and I found it on a place called www.edbpriser.dk

Here there is a list on the cheapest places (in Denmark) to buy hardware.

http://www.midtdata.dk/asp/index1024.asp?v...&mainfunc=link&

Problem is only that the importer dont have the card before next week - there was no cards in Denmark for the moment so they had to order one from the origin.

Problem with the products from HIS is that you never know when the orders come, and the Danish marked is very small, so we always come back in line compared with UK or Germany etc.

Anyway - it should come within the next week :woot:

well according to Dell's site it doesnt... and neither does my 5900 although im 95% sure mine will and yours as well. in fact, dell only says the 6800GT supports it while almost all the ATIs support it... hmm.. whats going on there?

ive read that even nvidia 5200's support it... i would check out a review or other forums or even slickdeals to make sure. but im almost positive youre ok

oh man, i just got my 2005 today and boy oh boy is it nice ... it was so bright i had to turn down the brightness from 100 to 50... incredible. moving from a 17" Trinitron Gateway monitor to this is something else. So much space

as far as problems... no dead pixels that i can see... i cant notice any backlight bleeding yet b/c it's so light in my room... perhaps tonight.

Anyone having an issue with videos looking real bright, in wmp?  and how do i fix it or did you fix it.. they are real bright and i tried turning down brightness on monitor but doesn't resolve the issue..  Help!!

i dont have that problem.. or at least not that i notice. perhaps change the settings in wmp?

my problem is 3 corners have terrible backlight bleeding

I have had three Revision A02 monitors, all from Mexico. The first one was a May 2005 with significant backlight bleeding. The second one was a July 2005 with some backlight bleeding but significantly less than the first one. The main problem with this one was a dead pixel in the center of the screen. The third one is a July 2005 A02, with no dead pixels and only barely noticeable backlight bleeding in the top left. It is clearly the best f the three.

The backlight is only noticeable on a pure blank screen, and not during regular use. I will most likely keep this one. Based on my experience plus one of the other users on this board, it looks like July 2005 A02s have less backlight problems than the others. I wonder if future revisions or manufacturing dates will continue to see improvements in this issue.

And rather than celebrate my success on getting a decent monitor, I'd like to say big "thumbs down" to Dell for making me go through many hours of hassle to get this one, which still admittedly isn't perfect but at least is within what I would consider a decent level of quality, given the price. If this one had more dead pixels or worse backlight bleeding, I would have given up. I have spent too much time on this.

My first time here....

I just bought the 20.1 2005FPW and i love it...But i have a question..I play COD and it runs great no ghosting of any kind. But i have realized when i get in a gun figh up close with will lag for a sec then it will be ok. This doesnt happen all the time but it is starting to get annoying. I went from a 17" CRT and this never happened. I think my fram rates have dropped since i bought the monitor. I have heard that turning your v-sync on will casue issues..but then i also heard it will help any ideas. Any ideas or fixes for my problem..And the v-sync question.

Also they are having a sale on the monitor..I bought it for $440..with a free 3yr warranty, free shipping
