That would be cool if you could use the Longhorn slate clock (.swf version by Windows X, you'll need permission if you use it).How about patching the Taskbar and Start Menu control panel applet? Personally I prefer the XP flag version, I think it looks good and I prefer it to the current clock. Obviously the clocks are at the incorrect as the screenshots were taken at different times. The clock hands and dotted border are not images in timedate.cpl. it is a custom control in a dialog. You would either have to be one hell of a hex editor or know how to rewrite the file to get the clock hands like that. The only real solution that can be achieved is putting the clock behind the control like XPero did in his original screenshot.
