They make their point, with no supporting evidence whatsoever. It tends to help if you say "X is better, because..." and supply reasons for your preference for "X", otherwise the person asking the original question is really non-the-wiser why he should buy product "X" (being, in this case, an Athlon 64) instead of product "Y" (being, in this case, a P4 Northwood).
