Like always, Holywood changed the book.

Read the book first and than whach the movie.

The movie was ok, but thats it. They made it a little bit cheesy towards the end.

as I said. they made a good adaptatioo, good, not perfect

I know the book

dude, i agree 110%. i went to the theatres wanting to see something that was sold out, so we decided to see monte cristo. that was one of the best movies i had seen in years, i absolutely loved it. i was totally shocked and suprised at how good it was.

I told you, I know the books, it was one of my childhood lectures

Hey since you guys have seen the film do you wanna give me a quick run down of what its actually about, just a quick paragraph or two, because ive read two reviews on it now and well it doesnt strike me as a great movie, but I dont highly trust reviews so a little info on the story line would be appreciated thanks.

Here's the story line for ya:

poor boy and rich boy are best pals.

poor boy has a true love that rich boy wants.

betrayal by rich boy, poor boy locked up forever.

rich boy gets poor boys girl.

poor boy escapes and gets revenge.

happy ever after.

The End.

never heard that plot line before now have ya?

throw in some 1700's style politics and piracy and poof,

you got the movie. Not a bad movie, but nothing to get crazy over, imho.
