I have either, but it should hopefully come today. I believe you'll get your product key in the welcome email  but don't quote me on that :D

from newsgroup

Hi Everyone,

A few grey hairs and lots of caffeine later, "R2" is a GO!  Welcome eMails

are on their way and should arrive within the next two hours or so.

Please note that if you completed the survey for "Additional Product Keys"

prior to today, you will not receive an additional key as there was some

confusion regarding this.  The welcome email will include one key good for

10 machines.  If you need X 64 or additional X86 keys, please

complete/recomplete the survey.

Also, there will be new NGs added today, so please ensure you keep checking

for new NGs.

Thanks for all your patience and let's see some bugs and suggestions!

Wendy

are disk1 and disk2 both required? or is disc2 an updated disk1?

Disk 2 features all the out of band extra's and these are all needed as they are partly what your beta testing not things like DX9 or WMP10 etc

In a note to beta testers Microsoft advises that testers should not install R2 on a later pre-release of Windows Server 2003 SP1. The R2 Beta 1 (build 1711) will only work on SP1 build 1289 (RC1).

Yup Larney, I personally don't want to use their intergrated version, only because they include eval one :(. I legally own Windows Server 03 via my MSDN account, so only worth using that.

No, for news groups, you need to set a different password. You can edit that by going to Modify Info > Newsgroups

Wondering why you havent recieved your welcome email? Just got an email back when I asked why I had not received it.. From the beta team

Yes, unfortunately the welcome emails have not yet gone out as we are

investigating some server issues (which I'm sure you've been

experiencing).
