Windows Messenger alerts

I was wondering if anyone has this problem with messenger, the little blue alert box that pops up in the corner, when you have e-mail or when someone has signed in, isnt there for my anymore. I hear the sound of it popping up, but I dont see it. I've switched resolutions but it still wont work, even though it used to when i first installed winxp. I tried installing the new beta messenger also and that didnt help. If anyone could help with this annoying problem I would really a ppreciate it. Thanks!

i have the same problem. i have turned on in the Options window, but the alert thingys dont pup up anymore.

The Same thing happened to me..I uninstalled desktopX and WindowsFX and the alert came back :) i dont know if its the same problem wid u

How do you remove ads is another question for me....

I see on the screen shots there are no ads.... Is it because of XP? or Win2k?

I think xp has no ads and win2k has :(

man, i tried uninstalling desktop x, and even all of object desktop, and still nothin.
