Although the movie was good, I honestly think Sam Raimi didn't do that well directing Spiderman. My personal #1 choice would have been James Cameron, but that's life.

Who do you think should helm the next Spiderman film?

To start, I haven't seen the Spidey movie and might not see it. I was a Spiderman fan when I was growing up. Personally, I don't think the next movie should be shot with real actors. I think, if there is a next movie, it should be done in cell animation or better yet in CGI like Final Fantasy.

I don't think they can realistically portray Spiderman like they did in the comic books on the big screen unless its done in cartoon format. There's just so much more you can do/get away with in a cartoon. You can defy physics and theres usually more of a humor element in cartoons.

I suggest you see the movie then decide if they can do it live action or not. Thats like me saying they can't do CGI that closely emulates live action without seeing Final Fantasy. I saw the movie on the big screen, and i'm checking it out again on my second monitor now, they definatly can defy physics...

Cameron has been waiting for this for a long time. I think that he should direct one of the (sure to be) coming movies in the franchise, now that they have laid the story out for the newcomers he can concentrate on the Spider-Man stories instead of the Peter Parker stories. I went to see the Spider-Man I read in the comics and got Peter for most of the film.
