Cant delete a folder

Recommended Posts

It happens, sometimes. Restart your computer & try again. Chances are some porgram or service is reporting the folder in use and won't let Windows delete it. A restart seems to always work for me! :)

Terminate the Explorer.exe task through Task Manager. Then, from Task Manager, run cmd. From there you can safely delete the folder. Then restart Explorer.exe.

File handles are broken on XP.

I cant boot into safe mode for some reason (pc fault anyways), when i try the CMD thingy killing explorer, it gives me the same reason that the file inside the folder cant be found, Cant be found, not that its in use

Ummm... That's going to be hard.

Try downloading some third-party program that remove these folders or something (if there is one). The folder's evidently corrupt, it's going to be hard to get rid of.
