New AIM?

I've gotten real tired of lookin' at the same dull AIM v4.7, I sure hope AOL has plans to release another version of AIM with a bit of eye candy.. I don't know if anyone's looked at the screen shots of AIM for MAC but it looks *much* nicer than the one we're stuck with for windows, I sure hope they update it soon with a nicer UI!

Has anyone heard anything about plans for a new AIM?

Yeah I do think that AIM UI needs a redo.. it serves its purpose and it is my favorite IM client, but with XP here I do think that some eye candy would be nice... I am really big on graphical interfaces so any improvement would be welcome :)

I read somewhere that a 5.0 or 6.0 will be realeased beginning of next year...betas soon

why release a 6.0? 5.0 hasn't even made its entrance, that we know of. although they are in cahoots with Netscape, they could pull a big version leap.

I know AOL just anouced plans to update to AOL 7.0, I wonder if a new AIM version is coming soon...
