I know i have one because its here: D:\boot.ini (configuration file) and its got that inside: [boot loader] timeout=0 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /noguiboot So why is it not in msconfig im baffled! Lee G. Veteran Posted December 20, 2004 Veteran Share Posted December 20, 2004 I have this problem with Windows Longhorn Build 4074. The boot.ini tab is not there. But when I boot up in Windows XP (primary OS) it is there, probably because Windows XP is default. I don't think this applies to you, but does your PC dualboot? Seanb2uk Posted December 20, 2004 Author Share Posted December 20, 2004 My Windows Drive for some reason ended up being the D:\ and my other HD is C:\. The boot.ini file is there and in the ROOT if it wasnt it wouldnt boot up! the boot.ini tab is the only one NOT there. here's a screenshot. Thanks guys.
