mac.com mail

u need a mac to create an account for email for mac.com (that has os9/x), n after u create an account u can just use it on windows (i have an idisk folder thingy on my desktop for webpages n whatever)

my mac.com addy works (n i'm on xp) but im having probs with smtp right now :s

ya i quickly made a really quick website on a mac the other day...good alternative of geocities...untill the idea catches on

canada doesnt have any mac stores...

neo, just go to a local library or something that has macs lol, most of them have os 9 (or should lol) so just install it from there n itll give u details n stuff n write em down n whatever :s

modify your browser's http header agent reply to emulate mac:D

if you are using proxomitron you can easily do that

edit: either i'm doing something wrong or they check for something else...used IE and mozilla and they still *****..

hmm ill just provide the settings cuz i'm tired :p although i cant really set up an account :p

email: (its an imap server btw)

incoming server: mail.mac.com

outgoing server: smtp.mac.com (sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt)

idisk (2 work on your puter):

http://idisk.mac.com/yourusernamehere (in my network places)...

documents folder: probably for documents

music: like i said above but for music

public: if you want to share your dox n stuff, you put your stuff in there)

software: place to put your software i guess

movies: for your movies i guess

pictures: pix i guess (maybe some of this stuff might be for webpages)

sites: if you want to make your site, upload your files in there i think :s (n maybe pictures 2 but i dunno since i just started using the idisk)

n if email doesnt work for you....

http://webmail.mac.com is always good :p

theres some generous mac users out there u know, not all of them are mean to windows users.

good thing that one of the puters in the library has os9 :D
