For the ones on the right, I use Desktop Sidebar www.desktopsidebar.com Unfortunately the ones in Samurize don't scroll but can change every few seconds to display a feed from another site, but I guess you already knew that. The weather is toggled on and off only 2-3 times a day. Only one RSS news display is on at any time, so I use less than 10 Mb or RAM and less than 2-3 % CPU usage for all my gizmos and displays.
