Paschendale Posted January 9, 2005 Share Posted January 9, 2005 Hi there, I really like the special Goldfish Aquarium screen saver included in Windows Media Center Edition, and was hoping I could load it onto another machine running XP Pro. Right now, when I try to use it on XP Pro, I get the following error message: "The Aquarium screen saver that is installed with Windows Digital Media Enhancements works only on Windows XP Media Center Edition." I do know that it is possible to get it running on regular flavours of XP, but I'm really not sure how I'd go about doing this so any help is appreciated. Thanks. Or, you can get the screensaver here: http://www.serenescreen.com/ I haven't used MCE 2005, so I don't know the exact screensaver you're talking about, but I think this is it. I do know about the LifeGlobe and SereneScreen versions (the one bundled with Plus! for regular XP is the LifeGlobe version with limited fish), but I specifically want to use the one from MCE because it features blue gravel which looks really cool. Mando Posted January 10, 2005 Share Posted January 10, 2005 (edited) erm not meaning to sound like a complete muppet but most of the types of aquatic plants they have on the "goldfish" aquarium are tropical freshwater plants and not coldwater :yes: Couple that with they are all COLDWATER & genetically modified & bred hybrid fish none of them are Technically "goldfish" not even the wee fellah in the background hes almost a goldfish but has been interbred etc. :rofl: hehe come on MS do yer homework! o0O{i wonder if bill would like to borrow my Dr Axelrods mini atlas of freshwater fish) :rolleyes: I used to have a tropical fish screensaver with fully rendered 3dmodels for things like clown fish, moorish idols & saltwater Angelfish it ruled! It just seemed a tad pointless as i had a 6` long tank & stand right next to the main pc with breeding pairs of Blue Discus and Golden Discus. (the emperors of Angelfish) I think it was the serenescene screensaver but i might be wrong.
