I was planning on ordering a 12" Powerbook this week, but if it's still the same as it was 9 months ago there is no way i'm paying that much for something that old. heesey1010
can mac mini run tiger smoothly? 585276322 It's not exactly known, although you would think that it would run it fine because, why release something if its not gonna work with something that'll come out in the very near future. We do know that Core Video will not be implemented into the Mac Mini unfortunately due to its Graphics Card limitations or something like that. Or maybe not lol. We'll have to find out soon enough. I'm thinking Tiger will be announced sometime around WWDC 2005...although that may be a little late. KeR
can mac mini run tiger smoothly? 585276322 sure it will, I have tried Tiger on a iMac G4 that was 800Mhz and had a GeForce2 MX and it run just fine, keep in mind the GFX card and processor in the Mac mini are much more powerfull. DELETEMYACCOUNTTTTTTTT
Why does Mac Mini only have 32MB RAM? Isn't that consider slow? 585276414 Thats Video RAM. The amount of RAM is less important than the graphics processor; a 64 meg integrated solution would be worse than the 32 meg Radeon 9200 in this, as there is no dedicated GPU in the first case. Ivand
Agreed. I think they should release a 17" display running at 1280x1024, that would be cool :) 585274860 I doubt it, remember that Apple has been focusing in widescreen ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/269821-official-macworld-thread/page/16/#findComment-585276483 Share on other sites
Spartan_X
A very reliable source just told me Apple will update the GFX processors of most of its line just before or during the Tiger release, that way all the new revs will run it smoothly. :ninja:  /me waits for the Mac Mini rev1??:p:p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/269821-official-macworld-thread/page/16/#findComment-585276602 Share on other sites
