+Fulcrum Subscriber¹ Posted January 14, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted January 14, 2005 found specs to my: Refer to my last useful thread for description of my car. I am basing my specs here on http://www.autotrader.com. It has a 190HP Standard engine, my GXE Model is at the bottom of the Nissan Maxima Lineup followed by a GLE then SE (in ascending order). I have DOHC, 190hp @ 5600 RPM, 205 ft-lbs @ 4000 RPM. According to another site, the SE Model can do 0-60 in lless than 7seconds my guesstimation for my GXE is less than 30seconds  And DUDE, Ford doesn't sell Ebony exterior autoMobiles; I went on their website! Dont you hate me! Jus yankin' your chain NEWayz =P Just jealous you got a faster car than ME... duh! TwiztedCam
1992 Ford Taurus GL 3.0L V6 0-60/Quarter 11/18 First got it, the radiator leaked. Got it replaced, the second radiator was crap; leaked even more. Got a third one in, it was fine until one morning before school, it leaked all over. Last, and hopefully final radiator just recently put in, working fine. Got to drive it for two days before another problem occurred, this time the starter died. I keep the interior well cleaned since I'm a clean freak, but I don't really bother about the outside. Nothing really fancy, no expensive sound system, nothing. Just a JVC deck and a pair of Audiobahn 6x9's. Might add pictures if I get around to it. It's funny to have imports and Mustangs try and screw with me at stoplights. While mine isn't the fastest car on the streets, I still manage to **** off ricers. Which is fun; I hate seeing white people driving those ugly things around. And i'm presuming you live in Kansas City, right? Because in the regular rural Kansas i'm more familiar with from House on the Prairie; That's a joke. I would see a problem with only 11/18 mpg. Unless you're taking into account the age of the vehicle, I would have to agree with the results i'm getting from AutoTrader that it was your misprint, and you meant 20/29 mpg. Chicane-UK Veteran Posted January 14, 2005 Veteran Share Posted January 14, 2005 1992 Corrado G60 in Pearl Green Number of modifications including full ride & damper adjustable Koni suspension, supercharger ported and pullied, SNS chip, magnex exhaust with supersprint catalytic converter bypass, and various other tweaks. Takes the BHP up from 160 to around 207BHP with 187lb/ft of torque. Not a lot compared to some cars out there, but enough to catch out a lot of other more expensive / modern motors :) Only have a few pics with it on new wheels.. mine is the green one. Krux
* 1991/Nissan/240sx * Specifications : HorsePower 155 @ 5,600 r.p.m. Torque: 160 @ 4,400 r.p.m. Engine Size: DOHC KA24DE 2.4 L Inline 4 * History : My brother and I both got one of these cars his was white my is black He dropped an SR20DET and put about 10 grand into his car. had about 300hp to the wheel. It recently for unknown reasons caught on fire and the fire department didn't try to spare his car any pain they used the jaws of life on his hood and when they got it open the flung it back smash his windshield in and cut his front bumper in half. Ill try and get a picture of his car so you can see what they did to it. Mine on the other hand I only paid 1500 dollars for because my step dad is friends with a used car dealer he sold it to me at cost to him. runs perfect and Im extremely happy with it. Not to mention it looks (and is alot more rare) better then a civic and blows most of them away except the minime and frankenstien ones. if you own a civic like that you know what I'm talking about. MY CAR STILL HANDLES BETTER THEN YOURS!! This would be my car when I very first bought it. Its at my shop being inspected. all it needed was a water pump or something I can't remember. Basically this is my first car. It was given to me by my dad in the summer when I got my license (07/17/2004). It runs great, it's in very good condition, and the fuel economy is really good. My dad had many options, he could have sold it, traded it in for cash towards his new car (2004 Malibu LT), but he gave it to me, and I am very thankful for that. Just to give you guys an idea about the fuel economy, I've recorded some data in an excel table: Fuel Economy> Now you may be wondering, "Why is the price of gasoline so high?" (Also the reason for my last MPG being so low is that I kind of shifted harder a few times at 5,000 RPMs, just to see what would happen. Plus driving short distances before the engine can warm up, driving up hills, and driving in the winter doesn't help one bit.) The engine in this specific Prizm model (LSi) takes 91 or greater. I didn't think you would believe me if I told you straight up, so I provided a picture. Well it would make sense since the compression ratio is 9.50.1; higher octane would be needed. Octane> The octane rating of gasoline tells you how much the fuel can be compressed before it spontaneously ignites. When gas ignites by compression rather than because of the spark from the spark plug, it causes knocking in the engine. Knocking can damage an engine, so it is not something you want to have happening. Lower-octane gas (like "regular" 87-octane gasoline) can handle the least amount of compression before igniting. The compression ratio of your engine determines the octane rating of the gas you must use in the car. One way to increase the horsepower of an engine of a given displacement is to increase its compression ratio. So a "high-performance engine" has a higher compression ratio and requires higher-octane fuel. The advantage of a high compression ratio is that it gives your engine a higher horsepower rating for a given engine weight -- that is what makes the engine "high performance." The disadvantage is that the gasoline for your engine costs more HowStuffWorks Sorry I was bored. Four day weekend . . .
