Interesting topic...well let us see how Neowin members here discover Neowin for the first time and what makes them decided to become Neowin member.

Let the discovery begin! :D

P.S. I found Neowin when I was browsing through some tech news. I click a link to Neowin site and browsing through them and because of large numbers of friendly member and interesting and yet useful topics in the forum, I decided to join in. Neowin's surely the best tech news site! :D

I found neowin whilst reading about early alpha/beta builds of windows XP. Back then the site's appearance was radically different but i kinda liked it. The content was well displayed, and from reading the forums everyone seemed to be a friendly bunch so i stayed. Course...i was in lurker mode for a long while until i finally decided to register. I've been addicted ever since. This place rocks.

I found Neowin after I got my hands on Windows XP, and I was trying to download the PowerToys for it. It so happens that Neowin hosted them, and I decided to find out what this neowin.net was. It turns out to be heaven for me. After being unable to read attachments, I finally registered, and it was, again, a great action. I fit in perfectly with truly good people (i have many people in my school who just condescend to me). Thank you, Neowin.net!

Someone mentioned that Neowin.net had some screenies of a beta build of XP - can't remember the details.

I came here, looked at the screenies, then the site went down for a few weeks (if I remember correctly). When the site came back online I visited occasionally, I found the the forums after a few weeks and joined. :)
